Notehurst Incorporations
About 2,400 companies are formed in the UK on a typical weekday. Some will never trade: holding companies, dormant shells, overseas property vehicles. Many of the rest are one-person starts at a home or formation-agent address. Notehurst sets aside the ones that will never be clients and ranks the rest for your kind of firm, with the reasons.
On every new company
- Sector, from the SIC code and the company name together, so a consulting code with a plumbing name reads as plumbing
- Likely to trade: a real business, or a shell or holding vehicle
- Premises: its own address, or a formation agent's or virtual office
- How strongly it will need an accountant, insurance and a website
- Region, from the registered office
- A score for your kind of firm (accountants, brokers, lenders or agencies), with up to three reasons and two cautions
- For web agencies: whether the company's matching .co.uk and .com web addresses are still free
Who uses it
Anyone who wants to be the first call a new business gets, not the fifth.
How it arrives
8am email, every weekday
The new companies in your patch, best first for your kind of firm. The top 25 are in the email, each with its reasons.
The ones to skip, set aside
Dormant shells, holding companies and overseas property vehicles are counted and left out of the ranking, so you can see what was removed and why.
Spreadsheet and portal
Every email links to the full ranked list as a spreadsheet, keyed on the Companies House number. The best of them are also in your online portal to filter, mark and download.
Try it on your own patch
Tell us your region and your kind of firm, and from the next weekday you get the real email for a week. No card needed. After that it is £49 a month for one region or £99 nationally, founding rate.
